Firstly my apologies that I didn't post a blog last night. My 4 year old son was struck down with gastro so I was nursing him. Hopefully it has by passed my 18 month old son and myself. My eldest is improving which is fantastic...he missed his first day and kindergarten and as a courtesy to his fellow kinder class mates and teachers, he'll miss tomorrow as well. But he'll start on Monday...
Being a Sugarmum means more than just having my own business from home, being a business builder. It is also an opportunity to join an amazing group of wonderful people...I am a social entrepreneur. I hear you ask, what is a social entrepreneur? Before I became a Sugarmum, I thought it was a made up word, a professional that someone "created" for themselves in order to give themselves a higher profile in front of their friends, family and peers. What I didn't know what that it is a real term and I didn't know exactly how wonderful these people are.
So what exactly is a social entrepreneur? Social entrepreneurs are individuals with innovative solutions to society's most pressing problems.

GIVING CHANGES EVERYTHING... Ever since I saw my first advertisement on television asking for child sponsorship, saw the poor children of our developing nations, malnourished, riddled with diseases that are treated so quickly and easily by our doctors, I wanted to help them. I wanted to sponsor not just one children, but at least 3. But I didn't want to be giving in vain. I wanted every cent that I would send, to be given to them and their community. I also knew that this would not happen which stopped me from sponsoring.
